Denmark gets the first AI political party in the world. But, its founders are not what one would except from such an endeavour. It was founded by Computer Lars which is artist collective and non-profit tech organisations MindFuture Foundation. They named it Synthetic Party and one of the policies it proposes is universal basic income policy for all Danish citizens. It was only a question of time when AI will enter the political arena because AI is already widely used in many other industries. But for those who are frightened of AI in general, the notion of AI in politics may seem the most frightening of them all because politics plays such an integral role in our lives. Only time can tell more about the effects but as humans we obviously should do our best to integrate AI in politics for our own benefit. On the other hand, Just like on the market where workers and companies have to compete and cooperate with AI, traditional political parties have now entered a new era in which they will have to do the same.
